Rainbow Bay

Where the Superbank comes alive.

Rainbow Bay adjoins one of the most famous surf breaks in the world: Snapper Rocks. On a good swell, it links into the legendary Superbank, serving up one of the best right-hand point breaks you’ll ever see. For Laura, it’s both playground and inspiration — the kind of place you can paddle out for hours or simply perch at the Rainbow Bay Surf Life Saving Club balcony and watch the waves peel down the line.

Cooly Markets

A Thursday morning ritual.

Held at the entrance to Currumbin’s fertile valley, the Cooly Markets are all about freshness, community, and rhythm of local life. Organic produce, baked goods, and live music make it the perfect mid-week reset. For Laura, wandering the stalls is a way to stock up on wholesome food while soaking up the easygoing atmosphere that’s as much a part of the Gold Coast as the surf.

Love Street

Coffee, coastline, and community vibes.

Tucked into beachside Kirra, Love Street is a creative’s dream — inspired by the ocean and made for connection. It’s where Laura grabs a post-surf coffee, catches up with friends, or just leans into the laid-back Kirra energy. Equal parts café, hangout, and hub, it’s a spot that reflects her Gold Coast lifestyle: simple, joyful, and always close to the sea.

Springbrook National Park

Where the rainforest resets you.

Just an hour from Coolangatta, Springbrook National Park feels a world away. With ancient trees, waterfalls, and sweeping lookouts, it’s part of the Gondwana Rainforests World Heritage Area. For Laura, it’s a go-to when she wants to recharge off the water — trading the roar of the ocean for the stillness of rainforest trails. A reminder that nature, in all its forms, fuels creativity and balance.

Cinca HQ

A hub for design and discovery.

Inside the Cornerstone Stores precinct, Cinca HQ is where architecture, sustainability, and community come together. With its red brick and vine-covered walls, it’s a space that supports young creatives and small boutiques. Laura gravitates to places like this — where thoughtful design meets grassroots energy — as much for inspiration as for the chance to connect with local makers.

Burly Gin Bar

Gin with a Gold Coast twist.

Also within Cornerstone Stores, the Burly Gin Bar is a spot Laura loves for unwinding with friends. With its resin accents, New York–meets–Japan interior, and live DJ sets, it’s more than just a bar — it’s an experience. From experimental cocktails to modern Australian bites, it’s the perfect way to round out a Gold Coast day, surf salty hair and all.
